An Amīr of the court of Aurengzeib (r. 1658-1707), the sixth Mughal emperor, who reigned for some 49 years. Two copies of works dedicated to him are Kamāl al-Dīn al-Fārisī's Tanqiḥ al-manāẓir's (a commentary on of Ibn al-Haytham's work); and a collection of treatises on music. |
