This is a treatise on arithmetic by Abū al-ʿAbbās Aḥmad ibn al‐Bannāʾ al‐Marrākushī (d. 1321), and flourished in the Maghrib. His works (which numbered well over 50) on mathematics and astronomy were extremely popular, and inspired an enormous number of commentaries which continued to the beginning of the 20th century.
