An account of the Palmyra-Raqqa scientific expedition in Syria to determine the size of the Earth. The exact same passage is contained in another more extensive anonymous treatise entitled Hayʾat al-aflāk that has been attributed to Qusṭā ibn Lūqā (d. ca. 912), which see.
