Ibn Yūnus (fl. 10th c. Egypt) reported that he knew of no observations of the solar mean motion in the interval between those of Ptolemy and Mumtaḥan except al-Nahāwandī's observations, which were conducted at Gundēšāpūr (Jundīšāpūr) in southwestern Iran. |
