With regard to the Almagest, Ibn Abī al-Šukr wrote the Talkhīṣ al‐Majisṭī (Compendium of the Almagest, based on his observations carried out between the years 1264 and 1275); the Khulāṣat al‐Majisṭī (different from the Talkhīṣ); and the Muqaddimāt tataʿallaq bi‐ḥarakāt al‐kawākib.
