Notes |
Ibn Abī al‐Fatḥ al‐Ṣūfī (fl. late 15th/early 16th centuries) was an important Egyptian astronomer whose treatises deal with astronomical instruments (some based on the work of Ibn al-Shāṭir) and timekeeping tables. He also put forth reworkings on Ulugh Beg's Zīj. His name and death date have sometimes been confused with his father who pursued similar studies and had a similar name. |
