There are two versions of this work, one is dedicated to Iskandar Bahādur-khān, the grandson of Tamberlane (Timur) and the cousin of Ulugh Beg, who reigned in Fars from 1409 to 1414. Kāšī was the protege of Iskandar before going to Samarqand. See DENA reference below, for details on 6 copies of the Lubāb-i Iskandarī located in repositories in Qum, Tehran, and Yaz. |
