al-Kāshī's treatise entitled Sullam al-samāʾ (Stairway to Heaven), composed in Arabic in 809/1407 and dedicated to the vizier Kamāl al-Dīn Maḥmūd, was written some fifteen years prior to his prominent role at the Samarqand madrasa and observatory founded by Ulugh Beg. It consists of an introduction, seven parts, and a conclusion. |
