This is the Arabic translation of Hero of Alexandria's On the Raising of Heavy Objects. This work is part of the translations of the so called Little Astronomy or “Intermediate Books” (Kutub al‐mutawassiṭāt), texts studied after Euclidean geometry in preparation for Ptolemaic astronomy.
